Simons Elk Creek Ranch: Living Room Painting In Progress

Simons Elk Creek Ranch: Living Room Painting In Progress

We're loving our new beginning at Elk Creek Ranch. It's something of a dream come true, even if it's a fixer upper through and through!

Luckily, we are a family who enjoys renovations and remodels, and have done them before (like when we remodeled our kitchen). I'll be sharing glimpses of our progress along the way and would love to have you follow along.

Here's some before and in-progress pics of the living room area. Try not to be too envious of my multiple yellow and green washed walls, trim, baseboard heating, and doors. These folks were persistent with their commitment to faux Tuscan finishes and emerald green carpet. Hello 1990's.

Before:

Faux Tuscan Everywhere...

(BEFORE pics are from before we purchased the home.)

We are giving everything a fresh coat of white paint first. We plan to rip out carpet, change out tile, and eventually do some bigger changes to floorplan, but for now: PAINT.

Painting Progress Pictures:

The white paint we have been using throughout the house is called "Polar Bear" by Behr.
The dark accent wall is "Chimney" by Behr.
Painting is already making a big difference...

That's all the updates for now. I'll pop back in with some more soon, hopefully. :) In the meantime, follow along with #simonselkcreekranch on Instagram and my Instagram Stories Highlights under "Fixer Upper."
Have a great weekend, friends!
