What is Grace?

grace |grās| noun

simple elegance or refinement of movement

the generous, unmerited favor of God

Grace is simply the gift of forgiveness and pardon from sin that God bestows on all who respond to Him in repentance and surrender. (Romans 5:8, Ephesians 1:7)

Grace is the immeasureable love of God poured out on us through the shed blood of His son, Christ, who paid the penalty for our sin. (Romans 4:7-8)

Grace is being considered righteous and pleasing in the sight of God on account of Christ, and not because of anything good in me. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Grace is the slate wiped clean of our debts, but credited with favor, righteousness, freedom, peace, joy, and hope. (Romans 5:1-5, 2 Corinthians 3:16-17)

Grace is what makes it possible for us to find grace in the everyday. (Acts 17:28)

If no one's ever told you about the Grace-giver, I'd love to have that privilege.
