Young Hearts for Mission Aviation

Boys who read missionary biographies + a dad who loves aircraft (and has a private pilot's license) = a love for mission aviation.

This past weekend, we had the rare privilege of meeting pilots who fly for JAARS (which stands for "Jungle Aviation and Radio Services"), an organization that provides technical support to advance Bible translation and literacy worldwide. We watched as a missionary pilot demonstrated special skills and tricks in the air.

Number 1 was in heaven. It was a dream come true.

And then, we told him that he and his brothers would get to take a ride in a Helio Courier, an aircraft that can handle the roughest, shortest airstrips in the toughest terrain.

Number 1 really died and went to heaven.

And then, his dad gave him the honor of riding right seat, complete with Dave Clark headset.

Yup, you got it. He was barely breathing...

And then, he got to take the yoke and do a turn.

...and totally speechless.

So...my littlest and I stayed on the ground and snapped pictures, while all my big boys were up in a little plane doing tricks. It was a long 15 minutes. :)

Faith Comes By Hearing, the local (but internationally impacting!) ministry that offers the world's largest catalog of Audio Bibles in native tongues and languages, was on site to spread the word on spreading the Word!

We just happen to have a dear "auntie" that works for FCBH, who listened eagerly to the boys' recounting of their airborne adventure.

Blessing upon blessing...to experience, to be inspired by, to pray for, and to discover...

...all that our Great God is doing to the ends of the earth!
