It feels like it's just around the corner, doesn't it? Have your daffodils started peaking out of their winter cocoons? Are all the tulips at Trader Joe's making your heart so happy? It's coming! (Even though I know some of us, including myself, are still dealing with snow... but it can't last forever, right?)
Regardless of the weather you're currently navigating, the promise of spring brings hope. New life, fresh air, warm weather. In GraceLaced, I wrote about spring as a season to rehearse the truths of God's Word:
Replacing lies with truth is where this season begins. Spring peeks out from the long, dark days like a crocus in new snowfall.
Tender growth knows the wind and rain is yet to come, so it clings to its new roots, anticipates the growth ahead, and grounds itself in what is right and true.
Spring is hopeful because, after a long winter, it reminds us that seasons do change! In a spring season of the soul, we rehearse the truth of God's Word - we preach to our own hearts what is true and root ourselves in His faithfulness.
Here are some truths to preach to your heart this spring.
You are a new creation.2 Corinthians 5:17 |
You've been set free.Galatians 5:1 |
God rejoices over you.Zephaniah 3:17 |
You are chosen.Isaiah 43:1 |
You have all that you need.Galatians 5:22-23 |
He is yours. |
He will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:5 |
He is making things beautiful.Ecclesiastes 3:11 |
He will make all things new.Revelation 21:4-5 |
He is always good. |
He will provide.Matthew 6:28b |
He is with you.1 John 4:4 |
Let's rehearse the truths of God's Word this spring knowing it will yield fruit in the seasons to come.
