Let’s be honest: Some of us are naturally recharged with the turning of a new year. And some of us worry that we won’t have what it takes to meet the demands of what lies ahead.
For some, 2018 is full of opportunity, and for others, full of unknowns.
So as silly as it sounds - if you’re already worried about not setting high enough goals, not being as optimistic and motivated as “she” is, or feeling like a failure before the new year’s even begun, let me invite you to take a deep breath and remember these words from our Savior:
“And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? ...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” (Matthew 6:27, 33-34)
I’m preaching to my own heart to plan, position, purpose, and prayerfully embrace 2018 —but through SEEKING HIM FIRST, rather than worrying about how I can orchestrate my life + plans successfully. Join me, friends? Trusting Him for strength resets NOW if we’re willing.
