We've been scrambling a bit around here, trying to get everything together for our family trip out to Southern California. We anticipate a week of renewal for my preacher huband at the Shepherd's Conference, as he studies under men like John MacArthur, Al Mohler, and Steve Lawson. R.C. Sproul will not be speaking this year, unfortunately. Troy has attended every year for many years, and considers it the absolute best resource for like-minded fellowship, encouragement, equipping, and rejuvenation. He seems to have the most insightful talks with the Lord over bagels and good coffee while at conference. He always comes back glowing. It will be a week of reunion for me and the kids, as we visit my longtime girlfriend in nearby Orange County. Her husband will attend the conference as well, so it will be the two of us moms--and our seven children! Aren't we brave? Please pray for a time of refreshing for each and every one of us. I'm sure there will be stories to tell when we get back!
