It's hard to believe that my first book baby, GraceLaced: Discovering Timeless Truths Through Seasons of the Heart released into the world a month ago. It's been an honor for me to read your emails, comments, social media posts, and reviews these past four weeks. This book is the fruit of a long previous season of sowing and growing. Our God is so faithful in every season, even the ones in which we are not blooming.
I would've loved for each and every one of my readers to attend GraceLaced blog's 10 Year Anniversary and GraceLaced Book Launch Event. It was certainly a night to remember. I'm so grateful to some of you who have been here from the beginning, and some of you who have recently joined me here since receiving the book. Friends, old and new, you are welcome here. I've rounded up some pics of the special night, a celebration of how faithful the Lord has been to grow the art and heart of GraceLaced. Enjoy!
We had a mighty team of friends come together from six states to help us and we would not have been able to to do it without them! I call them the official and honorary GraceLaced team (more not pictured)...
We couldn't have had a more lovely Fall evening at Casa Rondena Winery (@casarondenawinery), located in Los Ranchos, NM. It made for an absolutely stunning venue!
We were grateful to have the support of local businesses: St. James Tea Room (@stjamestearoom) who supplied us with a fabulous rooibos iced tea, and Prosum Roasters (@prosumroasters) with their home roasted and brewed coffee.
We worked with Sweet Tea Bakery Cafe (@sweeteabakerycafe), who created an exquisite assortment of Asian-themed hors d'hoeuvres: Mini bahn mi sandwiches, cucumber salad, spring rolls, egg rolls, crab rangoons, shrimp dumplings, and matcha tiramisu.
I was honored to have my agent, Ruth Samsel, editor Betty Fletcher, and President of Harvest House Publishers, Bob Hawkins, Jr. (along with his wife, Beth) attend the event along with so many dear friends, family and even some local {and non-local} GraceLaced fans!
Troy, Bob, and I each shared a word about GraceLaced, and the journey here.
My dear friend, Andy Cook, finished out the night with music on the lawn.
There were installations of each season found in GraceLaced book, set up for guests to experience the pages come to life before they perused the Shoppe.
This night --September 1, 2017-- will always be remembered as a significant capstone to a season of much joy and pain, gaining and goodbyes, trials and trusting. My continued prayer is that the words of this book and artwork will always point to He who is greater...Jesus who shows His faithfulness in and through every season. May His beauty be seen and name be glorified.
