Even though we're excitedly peering ahead to the winter holidays, and it might even feel a little winter-like where you live (Or is that just me? Anyone else already seen snow?), we are firmly in the swing of fall. Crisp temperatures, colorful leaves, and arguably the best food all happen in this season.
In GraceLaced, I wrote about fall like this:
"Leaves turn, and the last of summer's bounty is gathered. Fall finds us grateful, hopeful, and wonderfully poured out. Just as fields slow down and quiet themselves, so we embrace Fall's changes, knowing Who supplies all things when the blooming season comes to an end. When one chapter closes and another is still not ours, the beauty we get to experience is seeing how the Father provides in the now and not yet."
Fall is the season (of the year and of life) that we remember God's provision and rejoice in it!
When one chapter closes and another is still not ours, the beauty we get to experience is seeing how the Father provides in the now and not yet.
Here are a few provisions to meditate on and rejoice in this season:
God provides for us.Colossians 1:17 |
The Spirit intercedes for us.Matthew 6:9-13 |
Jesus carries our burdens.Genesis 18:14a |
God lights our path.Psalm 119:105 |
Jesus is our peace.
Numbers 6:24-25 |
God leads us.
|
God gives us purpose.Psalm 16:11 |
God gives us assurance. |
Jesus empowers us.
John 15:5 |
God is with us.
Joshua 1:9 |
Jesus has set us free.
Galatians 5:1 |
He will fight for you.Exodus 14:14 |
Join me in leaning into remembering God's bountiful provision for us in Christ this fall!
