Checking In...and Checking Out

I think I may have forgotten to mention that I am currently spending 8 days and 7 nights, with 4 kids and 1 husband in 1 hotel room, visiting a total of 12 members of my extended family, in the San Francisco Bay. We are on day 4, and all is well, and downright relaxing! I accidentally left my firewire to my camera at home, so you'll have to wait to see pictures of the 6 of us traveling by plane, train, and buses; eating dim sum; walking from Fisherman's Wharf to Chinatown; swimming with Number 4 for the first time; reuniting Number 3 with his best pal, Cousin Calla; hiking Muir Woods; the kids' meeting their Chinese Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather; and climbing into a De Havilland Beaver...when we get back! Some moments I have captured only in my mind's eye: like the bewildered looks we get when my brother's family and my family walk through Chinatown together with our 2 caucasian spouses and 6 bi-racial children, 2 of whom often travel via front-pack, and really ought to carry tip jars for providing such great entertainment and excitement from audiences of all ages! Can't wait to see what other adventures await us in the remaining 4 days and 4 nights...
