I'm so thrilled to release two of my favorite pieces of art to you today, in anticipation of Mother's Day just a few weeks away.

Call Her Blessed

I've been dreaming up a print, for sometime, of artwork based on Proverbs 31:28...and I finally had the opportunity to complete it this week. Ironically, I completed this painting with the baby on my lap, clingy after waking early from an afternoon nap. It's actually a sweet reminder to me, that beautiful things are borne often out of inefficient, uncomfortable circumstances. It's a print that I think would honor any woman who has embraced the high calling of motherhood.

Pink Peonies

And, many of you will remember (if you follow me on Instagram) that I painted a large acrylic canvas as a labor of love to auction off at our school's annual benefit gala.

The prints of this year's painting is now in the shoppe....could there be any flower more feminine, more beautiful, more special than a peony? These are signed, fine art giclees that come with a certificate of authenticity. It is an investment in quality artwork...

Pink Peonies, Original Painting

The original painting from the auction is now available for purchase through my shoppe as well, as the bidding did not meet reserve at the live auction. ALL proceeds from the sale of the original painting will be donated to the school we co-founded, Oak Grove Classical Academy. (Our school has grown tremendously in the last six years, and we are now in a campaign to own our own building, that we might provide quality classical, Christ-centered education for families interested in the hybrid home and school-classroom model.
