Dear Soul {Drawing Close, Day 17}

Dear Soul {Drawing Close, Day 17}

Dear Soul | gracelaced.com
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

-Psalm 43:5

I'm not much of a wise woman, but I know this to be true: No happy circumstance can fully gladden the heart, just as no discouragement can keep one down, who finds its gladness in Christ.

Tell Your Soul To Hope In Christ Tell Your Soul To Hope In Christ

Sometimes when you feel discouraged, beat down, doubtful, or overwhelmed, you simply must remember to tell your soul what to do.

.......

Tell your soul to forget not his benefits:

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." Psalm 103:2

Tell your soul to rejoice:

"Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD, exulting in his salvation." Psalm 35:9

Tell your soul to boast in the Lord:

"My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad." Psalm 34:2

Tell your soul to hope in Lord:

“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:24

.......

Go ahead...remind your soul what is true...and tell it what to do.

I'm drawing close to the preaching to my soul today.
